LAKE TRAVIS, Texas — A building under construction by the Islamic Center of Lake Travis is expected to be a complete loss after a fire fully engulfed it overnight, said the Travis County Fire Marshal’s Office and Lake Travis Fire and Rescue.
The call came in early Saturday morning at about 3:32 a.m. to report a structure on fire in the 4700 block of Doss Road in Lake Travis’ Hudson Bend area, said Lake Travis Fire and Rescue.
When firefighters arrived, the structure was fully engulfed in flames and parts of the structure and scaffolding were collapsing, firefighters said.
The Travis County Fire Marshal was on the scene Saturday morning conducting an investigation. At this time, it remains unknown what caused the fire or if it is suspicious.
