A customer at a New York City restaurant burst into an anti-Muslim tirade, slapping one worker and then busting glass partitions with a chair while a Muslim woman in Brooklyn was kicked by a man who called her trash, police sources said.
Sources said Robert Murino, 26, ordered a slice of pizza and then started yelling at workers — who hail from Pakistan, India and Bangladesh — asking them again and again if they are Muslims.
“How do you feel about ISIS?” he asked one worker, according to court papers.
“Are you a Muslim mother——?” he said to another worker, police sources said.
Parvin said Murino then began cursing out two customers before turning on worker Tahir Mahood and shouting at him.
“He started yelling, ‘Why don’t you tell me your religion?’ (Mahood) kept saying, ‘I don’t know, I don’t know!’ The guy then starts yelling, ‘Muslim mother ——!’ He then reached over and punched him,” she said.
