A man told KETV NewsWatch 7 he was beat unconscious because of the color of his skin. He told police someone attacked him after yelling “ISIS” and profanities.
Suthahar Subburaj, an Indian immigrant, said he was attacked outside Kurry Xpress. He said he’s not Arabic nor Muslim.

“He started punching me fast. Then I started covering my face like this. Then he gave me a punch,” Subburaj said.
Subburaj said he went to the hospital with a fractured nose, split lips and a bruised calf where he said he was kicked. Prior to the unexpected beat down, he said the man accused him of being a terrorist.
“‘ISIS mother(expletive). Get out of my country,'” Subburaj recalled.
The hate speech, Subburaj said, turned into violence.
“He knocked me out,” Subburaj said.
